Mabulig: Orientation

The DOST-PCIEERD and FSUU operational and financial units exchanged relevant guiding points to ensure the successful implementation and completion of the Mabulig Project. The project commenced on September 1, 2025 and is slated to conclude by August 31, 2027.

Writing Accountability Group: workshop

A hands-on workshop about the manuscript publishing process and navigating its challenges was conducted for the faculty from academic programs at FSUU. After the workshop, participants joined the Writing Accountability Group (WAG) sessions at the BIRC to complete the submission and publication of their manuscripts at their chosen journal!

Snakes and their importance for Biodiversity Science: seminar & workshop

FSUU visiting scientist, Dr. Justin M. Bernstein of the American Museum of Natural History, New York, USA, shared his insights on the diversity of Philippine snakes and their conservation implications. Partners from local government offices, students, and faculty from FSUU and basic education and SUCs within Butuan City also participated in a workshop on basic taxonomy and identification of commonly occurring venomous and nonvenomous snakes in the Caraga Region, led by Dr. Bernstein and BIRC staff.
